MusicFest NW

It’s MusicFest time again in the Pacific Northwest and we’re excited to be playing three MusicFest events this year -
Our official MusicFest show this year will be at the Ash St. Saloon on Thursday night, Sept. 17th with an incredible lineup of bands including our good friends from Derby (Portland), Mbilly (Portland), Hey Marseilles (Seattle), and Black Whales (Seattle).
Click on each band to link to their Myspace pages and check them out – some seriously good stuff. And for those that don’t already have a MusicFest wristband, tickets are only $8 at the door for this show.
Friday and Saturday night we’ll be playing a pair of MusicFest parties, each with the fellas from Derby – Friday evening we’ll be outside the Voodoo Doughnut on Sandy Blvd. (and Davis Street) at 5pm and the party is open to the public…Bacon Maple doughnut anyone? Saturday night we’re acting like Beatles and playing a set on a rooftop…though not in London…we’ll be playing the Rumblefish and BDC party on the top floor of the new Rumblefish building at 107 SE Washington St. in the Pearl here in Portland – this party is invite only, so let us know if you need some help getting in…should be a great time.
For those in the area, we hope to see you soon – and for those far far away, the new record is coming! In the meantime, check out this very nice article that our friend Tara Dublin wrote for today’s Oregonian – (click here to read “The Dimes: Mass. appeal”).

Record release shows!

We’re thrilled to announce the release of our new record, “The King Can Drink the Harbor Dry”, with a local CD release show scheduled for Saturday, November 14th at Mississippi Studios here in Portland and an official national release to follow. The record will feature 12 songs, each with their own ties to historic Boston, MA (hometown of our own Pierre Kaiser) -
We’ll be playing two shows at Mississippi Studios that Saturday (Nov. 14th), with a special all ages acoustic show in the evening and a full show (with some very special guest appearances) later that night – tickets for both shows are available on the Mississippi Studios site…
CD release shows are in the works for Seattle, Eugene and Ashland as well – details TBA. We’re can’t wait to get the new record out to you – in the meantime, you can find several demos and acoustic versions of songs from the upcoming record on our blog page – just look around…you’ll find them…
Hope to see you all soon -
